Warning Signs of Abuse
At the start of a new relationship, It can be difficult to recognize abusive behavior. Warning signs may not be evident early on, but they often become more pronounced as the relationship progresses.
One sign of an abusive partner is the attempt to gain power and control over you through various tactics.
- Telling you that you never do anything right
- Showing extreme jealousy of your friends or time spent away from them.
- Controlling finances in the household without discussion
- Pressuring you to participate in sex acts you’re not comfortable with
