Our Impact With the Community
At J4G, we are dedicated to honoring Gina’s legacy by bringing hope, awareness, and tangible support to individuals and families in need. Every event we host, every partnership we form, and every resource we share is fueled by our mission to stand against domestic violence and strengthen our community.
Fundraiser & Awareness Event
Through community fundraisers and awareness campaigns, J4G has been able to cover critical foundation start-up costs while raising awareness about domestic violence. These events not only help sustain our mission but also bring people together for healing and change.
Bowling Fundraiser March 2nd 2024
The foundation hosted a bowling fundraiser on March 2nd. More than 200 guests joined us in an incredible show of love and support. The evening featured 50/50 raffles, prizes, and plenty of fun, all made possible by the generosity of our family, friends, and community.
We are truly humbled and grateful for the overwhelming support that continues to carry Gina’s legacy forward.
Collaboration With Grace Center Of Hope
Partnering with this remarkable non-profit, we have connected with their staff, to learn more about their mission and their “needs list" to help provide resources for their shelters that serve the homeless. Together, we are extending compassion and assistance to those who need it most.
Clothing Drive
From August 5th - September 15th 2024 team members collected hundreds of items including women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, toiletries, books, and personal care items that were donated to Grace Center of Hope.
Awareness Event
J4G Foundation proudly participated in the Detroit Free Press Marathon to raise awareness for domestic violence to honor Gina’s legacy. Our participation in this meaningful event was more than just a run, it was a heartfelt display of support from our community, friends, and family. We hope that by attending more events like this, we can continue to raise awareness and make the mission of our foundation more widely known.
Detroit Free Press Marathon 2024
On October 20, 2024, several of Gina’s close friends participated in the Detroit Free Press Marathon in her honor. Their run was a powerful tribute to her life and a meaningful way to raise awareness about domestic violence.
Collaboration With Turning Point
In December, the Foundation joined forces with Turning Point in Mt. Clemens to bring Christmas joy to a family impacted by domestic violence.
Adopt A Family Dec 2024
With the funds that were raised from our previous fundraising events, we had the privilege of shopping for a loving mother and her young daughter. The gifts and essentials were chosen with care to ensure it brought joy, met their needs, and was perfectly suited to them.
Acts of kindness like this reflect the true spirit of Gina’s legacy, sharing love, compassion, and support with others.
Collaboration With Haven Of Hope
A nonprofit founded by Rachelle Garrett was established to support women and children who have suffered violent sexual abuse during conflicts in Africa. The organization operates two facilities dedicated to educating and empowering young children and female adults. These safe havens provide not only protection but also education, equipping survivors with the tools they need to eventually leave their abusive communities. Through this support, they can become eligible for government employment and build a path toward a safer, more independent future.
Christmas Donations Dec 2024
J4G Foundation had the heartfelt privilege of shopping for essential items most needed by those served through Rachelle’s organization.
Using funds from our previous events, we carefully selected undergarments, socks, school supplies, and hair care items, that were most needed. We made sure each item was chosen with care to bring comfort, dignity, and support.
Beyond donations, we also gave our time and hearts by attending one of her Gala's, where we joyfully assisted with preparing gift baskets, decorating tables, and warmly welcoming guests.
